Bellingham Coal painted on building side in Snohomish

Above photo looks like an advertisement for "Bellingham Coal." It is painted on the side of a building in Snohomish, WA. Now inside a restaurant.

Must be an old sign that is repainted for historic value. Bellingham doesn't even have coal mines anymore, but it does have a coal mining history.

They even say that old mines go under much of Bellingham. Drilling is often done to explore where the mines were located before new building foundations are laid.
