I've got a web page that's in the stack along with countless other "also-rans."
Had a good time and that's what really mattered. Didn't use steroids or beat any records.

That's just the time of day when I took this image.
As for competition and winning, I don't have much interest in bike racing either even though it does bring attention to bicycling. It's too fast lane. Plodding along "one day at a time" is more for me. Bike touring is more my speed.
A bike racing magazine once called tires "ground control."
Come on, it sounds like a war.
When they block streets in downtown Bellingham for an annual bike race criterium, the slight inconvenience doesn't bother me that much. I don't care what the score is, but all those spandex clad, sexy cyclists standing around after the finish line sure look nice. Maybe they should put the viewing stand there.
I don't find "steroid muscle men" that appealing, but sure enjoy a natural, slim and balanced look.
Scenery along the way is what it's about anyway. Take time to enjoy the journey, but you won't win that way. At least you won't win in the traditional sense.
How do you rate?
