Trump's NSF plans to remove around 900 sensors from the oceans. Sensors for monitoring water temp and so forth. Yes, a bad idea, but I also have a question that hasn't been answered in the media I've seen, so I ask AI.
Why go through the trouble to remove all this hardware, rather than just turning it off and let it sit? Why, especially if the goal is to save maintenence costs since Trump doesn't believe climate change needs to be studied.
