I often think that if the October 7th 2023 Hamas attack against Israel that killed so many civilians had not happened, maybe Trump would not be president today.
That attack led to Israel killing many more people as it retaliated against Gaza. Moderate Democrats, in USA such as Biden and Harris, lost votes for not taking stronger action against Israel. Many people, on the left, did not vote in the 2024 election feeling there was little difference between the candidates.
This allowed Trump to get back into office with his even more unfriendly policies toward the Palistinians.
