More oil being pushed through Persian Gulf by US military at great cost. Gasoline and especially diesel is still expensive anyway, though more supply could lower prices in longrun.
Who pays for US military? Will US start charging a toll on oil it pushes through the gulf given its 40 trillion dollar debt? Right wingers don't want a carbon tax to address climate change, but the cost of defending supply chains is a factor also.
