Trump takes up a lion's share of the attention span. In the shadow, my blog is hardly noticed.

It was Theodore Roosevelt who coined the phrase Bully Pulpit.

Today is planned a State of the Union speech by Trump. Every time Trump opens his mouth, or posts something on social media, it starts a national conversation. I wish my posts would get even a tiny fraction of the conversation started whenever Trump posts something. His conversation seems to suck most of the oxygen out of the room, meaning attention span. There's only so much attention span to go around.

Glad I'm not super famous as there are drawbacks to that. Just a modest amount of attention span and interaction is good enough for me.
